10 days trip from Tangier to Marrakech via Fes and Sahara desert

On the first day

We are going to start our journey in the northern city, Tangier, and drive to Tetouane one of the most attractive cities in Morocco. A lot of visitors go there to enjoy the Atmosphere of the north and relax in its wonderful beaches. On the way, we are going to cross the Rif mountains. There are known for their panoramic views that you will definitely like when you see it. Rif mountains are the spectacular destination of hikers and mountain lovers.

When we arrive in Chefchaouen, the blue city, we are going to stop by and take some photos near the popular mosque of Chefchaouen. It is, unsurprisingly, popular with tourists perhaps thanks to its minaret. Also its location and the beautiful echoes of the five call to prayer sound that makes it even more admirable. Not only that but we are also going to visit all the beautiful spots of Chefchaouen on that day. When night time comes we are going to go to the hotel where we are going to spend our night.

On the second day

We are going to get up early, have breakfast and set out for Fez. On the way to fez, we are going to pass through some Rifian small villages, and drive toward the roman ruins of Volubilis. Then carry on driving to the imperial city of Fez that is well-known. thanks to its beautiful giant walls, and gates that date back to the reign of the Ismailie dynasty. After we have lunch in Meknes, we are going to drive to Fez city the beautiful city. With a rich history and beautiful landmarks that attract huge numbers of tourists worldwide such as the old medina with its beautiful old houses, traditional souks and old Madrassas. We are going to spend our night at the Riad, and have some rest.

On the third day

We are going to make sure you wake up early, have breakfast and find your local guide at the Riad who will take you on a sightseeing tour around the city of Fez. Your tour guide will show the most interesting places in Fez such as the Royal Palace gate. It is where you will have the chance to take pictures of the old door and architecture. In addition to that, he is going to escort you to the Mellah or Jewish quarter that is an icon of the history of the Jews who used to live in Fez before.

They left in the late forties and early fifties of the past century. Furthermore, you are going to see Karaouine University. It is one of the oldest universities. On the fourth day

The first stop will be in Ifran, the city nicknamed the little Switzerland of Africa. Its beautiful houses, and the snow that falls there during wintertime, makes it even more attractive. After some driving, we are going to arrive in the forest of Azrou. It is where you’ll be able to see Barbary apes that are a type of monkeys that is found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

After that, we’ll carry on driving toward Midelt and Rich where you’ll see high mountains, rocks, and Ziz canyons. By then, you’ll realize that you are getting closer to the Sahara Desert. But before we get there, you will have taken some pictures of the panoramic views from Fes to your equipped camp in the desert where you’ll spend your first night. At night, you can either go out to the dunes, gaze at the beautiful Saharan stars or stay in the hotel to rest or listen to the staff playing music and singing in Berber.

On the fifth day

After breakfast, you will be taken on a tour around Erg Chebbi that is characterized by its stunning dunes that you’ll see in the 4 by 4 car that you will be in by then, but before that, you will ride on camels and see how nomads live in the desert and how traditional and lovely their simple lives are under their wonderful tents that are made of sheep wool. Furthermore, we’ll take you to see one village where black people live and whose origin is from Sudan. Those black people will play Gnaoua music for you. Last but least, you’ll eat the Berber pizza, and be taken back to the hotel where you’ll sleep until morning.

On the sixth day

We will make sure you get up early. So you will ride on a camel back to Erg Chebbi where you will see the captivating view of the sunrise among the golden dunes. It will be your chance to see the beauty of the Sahara Desert and take some memorable photos of yours. After you see the sunrise, your camel men will take you back to your camp so that you have breakfast. Also to take a shower and then hit the road to Dades valley. On the way there, there are plenty of wonderful places that you are going to see such as Rissani. It is one of the small towns of Tafilalt.

It has a traditional souk of Amazigh or Berber items you might be interested in. In addition to that, we are going to drive through houses built with clay and hay. Not only that but we are also going to drive through small villages whose inhabitants live peacefully and traditionally away from the noise of cities. After that, we are going to arrive in Tinghir. A small city with beautiful architecture and palm trees as well as the wonderful valley of Toudra and its canyons. Later in the day, we are going to arrive in Boumalne Dades and see its traditionality and people who live there and spend the night at the Riad.

On the seventh day

After breakfast, we are going to drive to Ouarzazate. It is the little Hollywood of Africa thanks to its popularity and its film industry. But before we arrive in Ouarzazate, we are going to stop by some wonderful places, namely the valley of Dades with fascinating views and nomads. And then we are going to visit the Valley of Roses in Kelaat Mgouna that is known by the beauty of its roses scents. After that, we are going to carry on driving toward Skoura and the Kasbah of Amridil which is one of the well-preserved Kasbahs with an interesting history. Last but not, we will arrive in Ouarzazate and spend a wonderful night there at the hotel.

On the eighth day

In the morning, our destination Marrakesh. We are going to drive to Marrakesh. On the way, we are going to visit some amazing places such as the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou that is beautiful, and one of the UNESCO’S world heritage sites. Then we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains. Also, the pass of Tichka where there is a lot of the amazing views to see such as small villages and other Kasbahs that we will stop by. As we travel toward our destination, Marrakesh which is a famous destination and probably the best in Morocco.

On the ninth day

A local guide will show you around the imperial city of Marrakesh. You will get to see the beauty of Marrakesh’s sites. Such as Jemma el Fna, a traditional popular spot and market place where many activities such as storytelling, snake charming take place. In addition to that, your tour guide will take you to the Koutoubia Mosque which is known for its beautiful minaret and Muslim architecture. Furthermore, you will get to see the Saadian tombs and El Bahia palace which I am pretty sure you will enjoy. After lunchtime, we are going to drive you to see the Majorelle Garden and drive you to the hotel to rest and spend the night.

On the tenth and the last day of our journey

We will have a nice Marrakesh breakfast. And when you are ready, we are going to drive you to the airport to catch your flight and leave for your country. After your wonderful ten-day tour around Morocco’s wonderful places. 10 days trip from Tangier ends.
