Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley:
On the first day of our 3 days from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, our expert driver will come to pick you up from the airport, hotel, or Riad, and starting the departure from Marrakech. Then we will head straight to Ouarzazate passing by the only liking point between Marrakech and Ouarzazate, Tizi N’Tichka, it will be the most splendid place you will ever see, it is located at more than 2000 meters high in the high Atlas Mountains.
The Tizi N’Tichka is the only spot to get to Ouarzazate.it is also an opportunity to have a look to far giant Mountains of the Atlas. Afterward, in few hours we will be in Ouarzazate, a very beautiful and clean city, a famous city for its historical Kasbahs, and film Studios. Also, it is known for its stunning views of the far Mountains of Saghro, and also for its palm tree oases, we are going to have a tour in the kasbah of Taourirt.
After that, we move to onward to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site, it was standing and still there before 700 years ago, which makes it the oldest building in the world. Moreover, the kasbah has become a place of interest for movie productions, you will fall in love with the people of the village of Ait Ben Haddou, and you will have a chance to talk to them, they are s friendly and generous. We are going to have lunch in the village of Ait Ben Haddou.
Afterward, we continue to the Gorges of Dades, a beautiful place in the southeast and known for the huge flock f tourist each year. The place is a true natural painting of the Rocky Mountains, where the monkey toes rocks are, you will enjoy the dazzling views of the area and the sunset. You will overnight at a hotel.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges From – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga:
On the second day of our 3 days from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, you wake up early to have a delicious traditional breakfast, and you will have a short walk in Dades Valley. After you will be driven to Tinghir across the villages overlooking the valley and the road, we will have to stop in Tinghir to discover the beautiful small town before moving to Todgha Gorges, which is in the outskirts of the town.
The Todgha Gorges is famed for rocks climbing sports and activities. In addition to the amazing views of the landscape with huge rock walls, penetrated by a cold-water flowing river. We continue to the Sahara desert through Tinjdad. For lunch, you will decide if either you have it in Tinghir or in Tinjdad. After lunch we are going to continue our trip t Erfoud then Rissani, two famous touristic destinations in the Tafilalet region.
The latter is known for its luxurious hotels, once we leave Rissani, we are going deep southeast where Marzouga is, the iconic symbol of the desert. You will get in Merzouga by afternoon before sunset, a Saharan teacup is waiting for you, the symbol of welcoming the charming sand dunes by this time is changing from bright gold to orange, and the sun is slowly fade amongst the sand dunes.
Also, you will enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen, then night falls, you look at the sky and it is full of sparkling stars like diamonds in the sky, your first night is going to spend in the middle of the desert as like a real, local nomad, and a rhythmic Gnawa or Berber music. You will sleep in a tent in the middle of the desert.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
On the third day and the last of our 3 days from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, you wake up early morning to watch the beautiful sunrise, the sun that goes down yesterday, comes back to say hello in a very stunning view, it started as a big orange spot comes out from the sand dunes, before it becomes like a fireball.
After that, you will go to have a shower and breakfast, after that you have fun, riding camels like nomads and ancient vendors in the 17th century, as well as cart and quad riding, is also available. We leave Merzouga back to Ouarzazate to see the cinema Studios and have lunch there.
We hit the road again to Marrakech passing by the high Atlas Mountains of Saghro and Tichka. We are going to transfer you to the hotel in about 07 pm or 08 Pm in the afternoon and we say Goodbye.
