Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga:
On the first day of our 4 days Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert, we will come to pick you up after you have a delicious breakfast, then we start to make our way through the middle atlas mountains, the way from Fes to Ifran is amazing, the beautiful nature is breathtaking. Most parts of the road we will be taken care fertile lands and forests.
We are going to come across some small Berber villages, you will be able to see villagers practicing their daily activities, taking pictures with them will be a precious opportunity for you, they will never say no to take a picture with them, they keep always a beautiful smile on their faces, although they face lots of hardship. Halfway, we are going to stop in the beautiful city of Midelt, locally nicknamed as ‘’ the Small Paris’’.
The city of Midelt is known for its apple production, fossils, and rocks. We hit the road again towards the famous valley of Ziz, on the road you will be astonished by how nature could bring together all its elements to make a stunning, natural painting of high mountains craved by a flowing river, and groves overlooking the river and the road.
You are recognizing that you are going deep to the Sahara of the southeast, no more fertile lands, but rocky desert. However, there are lots of palm tree oases. On the arrival of the Ziz Valley, we will stop to enjoy the dazzling landscape of the oases, which is considered as the largest and biggest oases in Morocco.
Afterward, we continue to Merzouga, and once we leave Rissani, we will be diving into the deep Sahara. At first, you may think that we are going nowhere, but later the village of Merzouga will appear to you in the middle of the desert, you will be welcomed by a Moroccan teacup. You will spend the night there in the camp.
Day 2: Merzouga – Desert Adventure and Camel Trekking:
Undoubtedly, the moments you are going to spend in Merzouga and the desert of Erg Chebbi is going to stick in your memory for good. To watch the sunrise in the Sahara, which may be, the most beautiful sunrise you will see in your life, you must wake up early, and then the sun starts to emerge as a big, range fireball.
Then you take a warm shower and have breakfast before we start again our journey, a full journey of activities, and go sightseeing. We are going to drive you to the discover the desert, there are also other possibilities to discover the desert, either carts or quad bikes, you will see nomadic traditional tents in the middle of nowhere, settled by nomads. We are going to have a cup of tea in one these tents, it is well known that Moroccan nomads and Saharan families are very generous, it is going a great opportunity to get close and talk to them, we go back to the camp, and you have a cat nap.
In the Sahara, the sun is baking during noontime. After a nape, you go to experience camel riding through the golden sun dunes up until the sunset, you stay there in the top of a high sand dune to watch the sunset, it is such a romantic moment you will have. The night is going to be spent at the camp, and enjoy a view of stars and calm.
Day 3: Merzouga – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Dades – Ouarzazate
On the third day of our 4 days from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert, after breakfast, we say goodbye to Merzouga, and blaze our way to Tinghir, a beautiful town famed for its kind population and wonderful landscapes, it is home to Todgha Gorges, the famous Gorges all over the world. We are going to stroll the gorges and you can take pictures, the gorgeous also have restaurants resort, and bazaars, you can buy masterpieces as a souvenir.
The journey will be continued, and we are going to drive to Dades Gorges. Along the way, the villages and the houses overlooking the road seem endless. In Dades Gorges, the amazing views deserve to be seen, the shape of the rocks is not familiar to you. Dades gorges are famous for the rocky monkey toes, huge rocks look like money toes or fingers, we are going to look into the rose valley in Skoura as well. After that, we head to the last destination of the day, which is Ouarzazate, you will arrive there by evening. And you overnight in a hotel or a Riad
Day 4 : Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
The fourth day of our 4 days from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert is going to be devoted to discover the city of Ouarzazate and suburbs, we are going to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, which is located in the center city, the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, the oldest Kasbah, and the oldest building in the world, locate in about 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate.
We are going to take you to Fint Oasis as well, to see the beauty of nature. In addition, Ouarzazate is nicknamed as the Hollywood of Morocco; that is to say, it is known for cinema production, international movies and series were filmed in its studios. We are going to take you there; the most known studio of all is the Atlas Studios. By afternoon, we will have been moved to Marrakech, passing by the Tizi N’Tichka, a twisted road in the high atlas mountains, so you will have an opportunity to see the giant mountains of the Atlas. On the arrival to Marrakech we drop you there and say Goodbye.
