itinerary
On the first-day:
Of 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will leave the city of Marrakesh and head up to Ouarzazate but before we arrive there, we’ll pass by a bunch of beautiful places on the way such as the panoramic views of the High Atlas mountains. As well as the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou that is approximately an hour away from Ouarzazate. The Kasbah of ait Benhaddou is one of the most admired kasbahs in Morocco. Thanks to its beautiful sceneries which make it look like an oil painting.
Whenever we get to someplace you like we can stop. And step out of the vehicle so that you take some memorial pictures to show your relatives and friends. When you go back to your home country. Furthermore, you will get to see the beauty of Ouarzazate the city known as the Hollywood of Morocco since some foreign movies have had some parts filmed there. Namely Gladiator, game of thrones, etc… When night time comes. We’ll arrive at the hotel which is situated in a small but wonderful town named Boumalne Dades. Which is only a few miles away from Tinghir.
On the second day:
We’ll wake up early and drive to Tinghir a beautiful city that is known for its mountains, palm trees, and canyons which make it the best destination of climbers and mountain lovers. Tinghir is known for this place named the Gorges of Toudra. Which welcomes thousands if not millions of visitors yearly. Thanks to the beauty that mountains endowed it with. Also, there is clean water springing out of rocks, and a bunch of Amazigh clothes sellers in case you are interested.
After we visit Tinghir, we’ll drive straight toward the Sahara desert. On the way there, we’ll pass through small towns like Tinjdad, Mellab, El Jorf, and Erfoud. Which is a beautiful small city with a nice dry Sharan weather. And our long drive will end in the Sahara desert. Where you’ll be taken on camels to stay overnight in the traditional but well-equipped tents in the desert.
On the third day:
there will be no driving for long distances, but you’ll spend your day in the desert. Interestingly, you’ll be taken on a tour around Erg Chebbi to see the dunes in a 4 by 4 car. In addition to that, you’ll also visit a nomad family so that you have an idea about how those traditional people live their lives in the desert as well as visit the village of Khamlia where there are black people whose Origin can be traced back to some south Africa. Those south African by origin will play their type of music known as Gnaoua Music. And by the end of the day, you’ll watch the sunset in the enchanting golden sand.
On the fourth day:
You’ll wake up to see the sunrise in the desert and take some photos. Moreover, we are going to visit the traditional Market of Rissani that is situated a few miles away from Merzouga. Then we will drive back to Marrakesh. But this time on a different road. Basically, we will drive past one small town named Alnif, and when we get to a place named Nkob. It is where we are going to have lunch and resume driving toward Agdz and then Ouarzazate. Where you will stay at the hotel until morning to continue towards Marrakesh.
On the fifth day:
We will get up early have breakfast at the hotel. And then we are going to drop by and visit the Atlas studio in Ouarzazate. Then drive toward the Kasbah of Telouet which was the seat of the el glaoui family’s power; it is occasionally referred to as the palace of Glaoui. This palace was built in the 18th and 19th centuries, and it can still be visited. last but not least, we’ll get to pass through the high Atlas Mountains where we will stop to see some of the most beautiful views and take some photos. When we arrive in Marrakesh, we’ll take you to your hotel so that you have some rest after that big day.
