As a result, the work was abandoned. In 2012, UNESCO granted world heritage status to that site. Right near Hassan tower, there is the tomb of Mohamed V, Morocco’s first post-independence king. Then our next destination will be Chellah whose ruins have a lot to tell about the old civilizations.
On the same day, we are going to drive to Meknes. When we arrive there, we will visit some of its monuments, namely Bab Mansoor. It is an iconic gateway that overlooks to Lahdim square.
