itinerary
On the first day
We will be there at the airport to take you to the hotel. It is where you will check-in so that you have a rest because the coming days will be driving and exploring each city’s landmarks and worth visiting places.
On the second day
Of our journey. We are going to visit Hassan 2 Mosque in Casablanca which is the second largest mosque after the mosque of Mecca. Also, we’ll leave for the city of Rabat which is the administrative capital of the Kingdom, and which is less than 100 miles away from Casablanca. When we arrive there, our destination will be the Mausoleum of Mohammed 5. It is located on the opposite side of the Hassan Tower that is known as the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat.
After that, we are going to drive toward Meknes. It is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, and we are going to head up to the popular site named Volubilis. In which it has a very rich history. Volubilis is the best-preserved Roman ruins located between Fez and Meknes. On a fertile plain surrounded by wheat fields. It was established before the Christian Era, and the place has beautiful landscapes. Especially near the sacred city of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun as it is the place where Moulay Idriss Akhbar was buried. After a nice tour in that area. Furthermore, we are going to drive to Fez where we will check in a hotel, and spend the night.
On the third day
Of Our Desert trip from Casablanca. We will set out to explore the imperial city of Fez. It was founded specifically in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss 2. The places that we are going to visit on that day in Fez is the old medina of Fez. It attracts a large number of tourists because it is the largest Medina which, interestingly.
Madina was founded in the 9th century. We are going to drop by and visit the Al Attarine Madrassa which was built by one of the Marinid sultans. In addition to that, we are going to head toward the fountain of Ennajarine. Also, the Qarawyin University which was labeled the oldest higher educational institution in the world by the UNESCO. Last but not least, we are going to visit the new medina in Fes Jdid. In the evening, we are going to go back to the hotel to have some rest as you will be tired by then.
On the fourth day
We will leave for the desert in the morning. On the way, we’ll stop at some places both to rest, so that you can take some pictures. The first stop will be in Ifran. Its a city that is mostly referred to as the little Switzerland of Africa. Because of its beautiful architecture and the snow that falls there during wintertime. Also, it makes it even more captivating. After almost 30 minutes of driving, we’ll reach the forest of Azrou. It is where you’ll be able to Barbary apes. They are a type of monkeys that are found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
After that, we’ll drive on toward Midelt where we are going to stop for lunch. Then continue in the direction that leads to Rich. It is a city where you’ll see high mountains, and rocks, particularly in a place known as Tizi n Tlghomt. When you get to the city of Errachidia, you’ll feel the Sharan dry weather. You will feel that you are getting closer to the Sahara desert. In which we’ll get and have the chance to enjoy the golden sand and the beautiful Saharan sun. Especially, when it goes down. After a while, we will get to the desert by camels and spend our night there until morning.
On the fifth day
Basically, after breakfast, we are going to visit a small village named Khamlia. It is where you will have the opportunity to know that beautiful places and meet some black people who claim their origin is from South Africa. Not only that, but they also play their type of music. It is known as Gnaoua music which you’ll probably like if you are interested in the African culture and songs.
After that, we are going to drive on an off-road track to have a tour around the dunes. Then we are going to stop for tea in a Berber Tent with nomads whose simple life you’ll get to see and know about. Besides, we are going to go back to the hotel so that you have some rest and prepare to ride on a camel back to see the charming sunset. At nightfall, we are going to go back to the equipped Sharan tents where you’ll sleep until morning.
On the sixth day
We are going to wake up early to see the sunrise and take some fascinating photos in the desert before we leave. Then we will go back to the hotel where you will take a nice shower and get prepared for a drive to Ouarzazate. But before we go, there is a lot to see on the way there. First of all, we are going to drop and visit Rissani. Also, Erfoud which is known for the fossils that are being put up for sale by nomads who get them from the desert and the mountains nearby. Second, we are going to drive on toward Tinghir. More importantly, we are going to see the Gorges of toudra that attract millions of visitors. It has enchanting sceneries on the road there such as palm trees and old Berber Architecture.
It is going to be the place where we are going to have lunch before we resume driving. After Lunchtime, we will be driving through the Dades Valley. And the Captivating views of the Kelaat Mgouna that is known as the town of roses given the fact that there is a valley there that grows attractive roses with beautiful scents. On the way to Ouarzazate, we are going to pass by some wonderful small villages and whenever you feel like you want to stop for a while, we will be pleased to stop and step out of the vehicle for some pictures. Last but not least, we are going to arrive in Ouarzazate which is a magnificent city that Is known worldwide as the Hollywood of Morocco.
On the seventh day
Our destination will be from Ouarzazate to Marrakesh. We are drive to Marrakesh, and on the way, we are going to visit some of the most interesting places such as the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is beautiful as a painting with its traditional architecture and the fact that it is one of the UNESCO’S world heritage sites. Then we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains and the pass of Tichka where there is a lot of views to see. Also, to the small villages and kasbah that we will pass by as we travel toward our destination, Marrakesh.
On the eighth
The last day of our 8 days in Morocco from Casablanca. There will be no driving for a long distance. That day will be spent in the popular city of Marrakesh. There are worth visiting sites such as Jemaa El Fna which refers to the main square and at the same time a market place as well as a spot where many activities take place.
Huge numbers of tourists flock there as it is considered to be one of the amazing things to visit and see in the old medina of Marrakesh. Moreover, we also take you to the Menara Gardens which is an attractive place in Marrakesh. Visitors from different places don’t miss that place as it offers a beautiful Moroccan atmosphere. In addition to that, we will stop by the mosque of El Koutoubia for some pictures and after that, we are going to take you to your hotel or the airport.
